Operational compliance wording for Da Silva Academy parents and PayFast merchant review. Not a claim of external legal certification.
1. Currency and domicile
All school fees and related payments described on this website are in South African Rand (ZAR). Da Silva Academy’s country of domicile is South Africa.
2. When fees are due
Fees are due according to the school’s published fee schedule and the family account statement. Unless advised otherwise for a specific year, monthly school fees are payable in advance by the third day of each month for twelve months (January through December).
Other charges (including events, registration confirmation, textbooks, bus, aftercare, and intervention where applicable) are payable by the dates shown on the statement or fee schedule.
3. PayFast
Da Silva Academy may accept online payments for school fees and administration or admission-related fees through PayFast.
Secure payments are processed by PayFast. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Da Silva Academy does not store raw card details.
4. Accepted payment methods
Secure payments are processed by PayFast. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout for the school’s merchant account.
The school may also accept EFT into the school’s bank account and card payments at the Finance Office where facilities are available. Cheques are not accepted.
Banking details for EFT are available from the school office. Always use the payment reference instructed by the school.
5. Payment references
Use the learner statement number and/or learner name and surname as the payment reference, or any other reference shown on your account or PayFast checkout.
Incorrect references may delay allocation. Contact the school with proof of payment if a payment does not appear on the account within a reasonable time.
6. Payment allocation
Cleared payments are allocated to the relevant family or learner account in accordance with the school’s finance practices and any open amounts on the statement.
Online PayFast payments are recognised once the school receives successful payment confirmation from PayFast.
7. Outstanding amounts
Outstanding amounts remain payable and may attract late-payment penalties as published in the school’s financial policy for the year.
Continued non-payment may result in loss of place and further collection steps under the financial agreement.
8. Receipts
The school issues or makes available payment confirmations and account statements in the ordinary course. Keep PayFast confirmations and EFT proofs until the payment reflects on your statement.
9. Failed or declined payments
A failed or declined payment does not settle the fee. Please retry with a valid method or pay by EFT before the due date to avoid penalties where applicable.
10. Duplicate payments
Notify the school immediately if you believe you have paid twice. Verified duplicates may be credited or refunded as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Refunds
Refunds are handled under the Refund & Cancellation Policy, including non-refundable registration and administration fees and withdrawal notice rules.
12. Payment security
PayFast handles payment details on its secure platform. Da Silva Academy does not store raw card details on this website or in school systems used for checkout.
Parents should only complete payments on the official school channels or PayFast pages reached from those channels.
